Megan Brand - Executive Director/Director of Private Services
Joining CFPD in 2003 as a case manager and promptly became the Director of Beneficiary services, Megan was promoted to Director of Private Services and Community relations in 2008. She became the Executive Director in 2010. With a bachelor's degree in social work from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, Megan leads the staff in coordinating the many services that provide for clients' daily needs. She draws on over 10 years experience in serving people with disabilities. She and her capable staff excel in working with clients and their families, as well as their service providers, attorneys, trustees, financial planners, guardians and other professionals.
Larry facilitates the fiscal, financial and budgetary planning functions of the CFPD, as the Operations Manager. He oversees the Representative Payee program, assists with corporate compliance issues, develops marketing and outreach opportunities, coordinates facilities management and works as a liaison for human resources management. With a B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Larry brings 35 years experience in non-profit management and administration to CFPD. He has experience with residential and vocational programs; long-term care and housing; and has served people with disabilities. His favorite aspect of working for CFPD is the opportunities he has to work with a variety of people. He also enjoys being a member of a team that touches people's lives in many different ways. In his spare time he enjoys golf, tennis, home improvement, IT and being a grandfather.
Dot has over 40 years experience in accounting and business with knowledge in running a daycare, nursing home and bookkeeping business. With an aptitude for diverse populations, Dot has also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and a youth director. She has an Accounting Certificate from the Lincoln School of Commerce, an apprenticeship with with an IT Tech and has taken a Web Marketing course. As the Accounting Supervisor, Dot oversees all aspects of the accounting department. She prepares financial reports, assists in budgeting, and helps with IT or software issues. Her favorite aspect of working for CFPD is using her accounting and computer knowledge in a team environment alongside CFPD's unique and talented staff. In her spare time, Dot enjoys spending time with her 6 grandchildren, doing crafts with them and visiting the mountains.
Janette works hard to help CFPD beneficiaries and people in the community through her role as the Representative Payee Coordinator,. She graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from a culinary school in Portland, Oregon and formally worked as Kitchen Manager for the Cherry Creek School District where she was able to easily relate to children with special needs. She has a relative with Down syndrome who has taught her a lot about life. Her favorite part of working for CFPD is helping the beneficiaries while getting to know them. In her spare time she enjoys church activities, seeing movies, being involved with Boy Scouts, her animals and spending time with her family.
Kathleen supervises the Contract Case Manager while working to enhance the lives of beneficiaries. A Senior Case Manager with CFPD, she has over 20 years experience working with people with special needs and has a degree in Rehabilitation Services from New York University. Her favorite part of working for CFPD is interacting with the beneficiaries. She participates in triathlons and spends much of her free time training. She also enjoys reading.
In her role as the Intake Coordinator and Case Manager, Cindy meets with potential clients to explain the purpose of CFPD's special needs trust and how it can benefit their lives. With a degree in Social Work from Metro State College of Denver, she has experience as an Employment Consultant for people with developmental disabilities. Drawn to helping clients without representation, Cindy's favorite part of working for CFPD is helping clients who are being discriminated against or treated unfairly. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cycling, gardening and cultural activities.
Having spent two years as an AmeriCorps member and over two years working with people with disabilities, Emily is used to serving a variety of populations, communities and individuals. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. As a Case Manager, Emily works hard to ensure that beneficiaries needs are addressed responsibly and appropriately. She strives to be compassionate and supportive through regular contact and follow-up. Emily's favorite part of working for CFPD is being an advocate for beneficiaries while connecting them with the resources and services that improve their quality of life. In her spare time, she enjoys adventures, traveling to see family and friends, reading, cooking, biking and swimming.
A Case Manager for CFPD, Brenda assists beneficiaries in accessing their trust. She connects them with community resources and acts as an advocate for them. With a degree in Social Work from Union College, her favorite part of working for CFPD is the supportive and harmonious team environment it offers. She has experience working as a direct support associate and assistant manager for a group home that helped people with developmental disabilities. In her spare time she enjoys reading, camping, backpacking, spending time with friends, her family, playing board games and participating in church.
